Arangetram/Rangapravesam

Both these words literally mean “to ascend the stage”; although the word Arangetram is generally associated with the Bharatanatyam graduation and Rangapravesam with Kuchipudi.  It signifies the artiste's maiden public performance and marks the culmination of the first phase of the dancer's career enabling her to grace the stage with solo performances.
